Michael popped the question to his significant other Heather with a romantic picnic at Sydney's Mary Booth's Lookout. Planning a surprise proposal requires attention to detail, but he took the right preparations, and it was the perfect way to propose.
Michael reached out to me in advance of his trip to Sydney with Heather. We were deciding on the right spot so he could propose in style, and we settled on Mary Booth's Lookout. It's a scenic viewpoint with breathtaking views of the city and harbour bridge, and is located on a hilltop and offered them a private, romantic spot together.
Poppin' Picnics did an incredible job of creating a cozy atmosphere with blankets, pillows, candles, and a special menu including champagne and delicious foods.
I excitedly hid in a corner at the lookout, pretending to be a tourist photographing the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, before Michael dropped down on one knee and popped the question. After many big emotions, cuddles, and a celebration of champagne, we went down to the water and had an impromptu engagement photoshoot together.
This was such a special occasion and I think having a secluded, romantic date is the perfect way to surprise your loved one. From a gorgeous picnic setup to a breathtaking view, I think this was an extremely unique and special way to propose.
